All in person meetings are postponed at this time.

What we have been working on.....
  1. 1.  We provided an educational film,The First Day: A Substance Use Prevention Education, for two boy scouts who worked on a drug education patch.
2.  We provided $100.00 to any PreK-6th grade teacher who wanted to provide a Take A Break area in their classroom. This is an area where students can go to decompress and regulate their emotions/behaviors when they need a break.

3.  We provided a social emotional/language arts curriculum to reading/language art teachers in grades K-6. In this curriculum students learn how to assess and grow in the following areas: self-awareness, self-management, responsible decision-making, relationship skills, and social awareness. All are skills that are necessary to become their best future self. Through this curriculum, students will become individuals who are prepared for life's challenges and posses the skills necessary to make wise decisions.

4. We hope to offer a drug education program at the jr. high and high school during the 2020-2021 school year. This will be revisited as the year progresses during the pandemic.

5.  Alcohol, Drug, Addiction, and Mental Health Services (ADAMHS) is offering a full calendar of virtual classes as follows: Adult Mental Health First Aid, Youth Mental Health First Aid, Trauma 101, QPR Suicide Prevention, LGBTQ+ Terminology 101, Cultural Humility, Diversity & Inclusion Series, PAX Tooks, Child Abuse Awareness 101, Trauma 101 in a School/Youth Setting, Self Care Topics.  Open the newsletter below to see the full class list.

Denise Goodwin & her Cadette Scouts recently used our website to gain helpful information about drug and alcohol awareness. The Cadette Scouts suggested the website listed below about taling to children and teens about drugs. We sincerely appreciate their suggestion and commend them for becoming aware about this critical topic. Check out their suggested website below.
